Dr. Luvonga Caleb is a prolific speaker and consummate Analytical Chemist with over 20 years’ hands-on experience. He has demonstrable expertise in separation science, elemental speciation, and mass spectrometry. He currently serves as the Manager of Organic Laboratory at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, USA, an MSc in Computer-Based Information Systems (CBIS) from the University of Sunderland, UK, and a BSc in Chemistry and Biochemistry from Egerton University. He holds memberships in the Kenya Chemical Society (KCS), American Chemical Society (ACS), and the National Quality Institute (NQI).
He has made a significant contribution to the measurement science and in the advancement of trade facilitation through harmonization of standards as a technical expert. His work aligns with the KEBS 2023-2027 Strategic Plan: Driving economic growth by promoting fair trade, reducing compliance costs, and developing local value chains.
