Felista Kerubo Nyakoe is a seasoned conformity assessment expert with over 26 years of experience. Currently she serves as the Manager of the Testing Laboratories Accreditation Scheme at the Kenya Accreditation Service.
She has a wealth of expertise in accreditation, assessment, implementation, and training of quality management systems across various conformity assessment schemes, including laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency test providers and certification bodies.
Her extensive contributions at international, regional, and national levels include leadership roles in technical committees and working groups, as well as being a sought-after speaker at numerous workshops in the standards and quality infrastructure sector. Currently, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Africa Regional Accreditation Cooperation (AFRAC) Technical Committee and is a peer evaluator for AFRAC/ILAC
Felista is also an experienced negotiator, having played pivotal roles in negotiating trade agreements such as the United States-Kenya Strategic Trade and Investment Partnership (STIP), the EAC-COMESA-SADC Tripartite trade agreement, and the Kenya-UAE trade agreements, with a primary focus on standards and their importance in trade.
