Hon. Salim Mvurya Mgala, E.G.H. is a seasoned leader with 27 years of experience in government, and in national and international NGOs, focusing on development and management. He previously served as Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs (2022-2024) and Governor of Kwale County for two terms (2013-2022). His leadership roles included Vice Chairman of the Council of Governors and Chairperson of Jumuiya ya Kaunti za Pwani. He holds a degree in Agri-Business Management from Egerton University and a Master’s in Participation, Power, and Social Change from the University of Sussex.
