Julia Njagi is currently serving as the Deputy Director, Biosafety Research Standards and Licensing at the National Biosafety Authority. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Science (Biochemistry/Chemistry) and a master’s degree in Biochemistry. Her expertise in molecular sciences has been instrumental in the management of laboratory services within the Authority and in coordinating the activities of the regional offices that fall under the compliance and enforcement docket. She has over the years accumulated vast experience in GMO environmental and food safety assessment.
